Petal Card Punch Box

I saw a video on how to make this cute little Petal Card
Punch Box online. The name of the stamper was
frenchiestamps. I thought it was so cute that I had to make
some! I have made a picture tutorial for those of you who
want to give it a try. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Start with your color choice of SU Cardstock. I chose Crumb Cake.
I punched four times and trimmed that row off. Then punched
up one side of the remaining CS and then the other side.

You can get 12 punches per sheet. You will only
need 4 punches to complete one box.
I punched
quite a few because I made some for my fellow
demonstrator friends as a swap at our Christmas Meeting!

So, begin with 4 punches.

Cut one petal off the each punch, as shown above.

Glue punches together by the tab remaining opposite the one you
cut off. I used Tombow glue for mine (it dries very fast), but you
could also use sticky strip if you prefer.
I would not use Snail or tape
runner because it probably won't hold them together.

Here is a picture of the back when all pieces are glued together.

Here is the front or outside of the box.

Then you will glue the last tab to the other side,
making the loop complete.

Here is your box.

To make the bottom of the box, fold as you would a large box to keep
it securely closed by alternating the flaps. Then I snipped a small
slit on two flaps so that it laid flat. I did not use glue, but you could.

Closed Bottom Close Up!

These cute little boxes will hold two Hershey Bliss
Chocolates perfectly! Wow are they yummy!

Stack them one on top of the other and close the top
the same way - alternating the flaps but they will make
a little rounded dome shape if you don't snip them!

Voila! Cute little box!

Embellish as desired! I used a great new stamp
set called Eat Chocolate that will be available in the
upcoming occasions mini catalog, available January 5, 2011!

Here are a couple of cards I made using the
same set and some vanilla, kraft and espresso colors!

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks for stopping by!
