Petal Card Punch Box

I saw a video on how to make this cute little Petal Card
Punch Box online. The name of the stamper was
frenchiestamps. I thought it was so cute that I had to make
some! I have made a picture tutorial for those of you who
want to give it a try. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Start with your color choice of SU Cardstock. I chose Crumb Cake.
I punched four times and trimmed that row off. Then punched
up one side of the remaining CS and then the other side.

You can get 12 punches per sheet. You will only
need 4 punches to complete one box.
I punched
quite a few because I made some for my fellow
demonstrator friends as a swap at our Christmas Meeting!

So, begin with 4 punches.

Cut one petal off the each punch, as shown above.

Glue punches together by the tab remaining opposite the one you
cut off. I used Tombow glue for mine (it dries very fast), but you
could also use sticky strip if you prefer.
I would not use Snail or tape
runner because it probably won't hold them together.

Here is a picture of the back when all pieces are glued together.

Here is the front or outside of the box.

Then you will glue the last tab to the other side,
making the loop complete.

Here is your box.

To make the bottom of the box, fold as you would a large box to keep
it securely closed by alternating the flaps. Then I snipped a small
slit on two flaps so that it laid flat. I did not use glue, but you could.

Closed Bottom Close Up!

These cute little boxes will hold two Hershey Bliss
Chocolates perfectly! Wow are they yummy!

Stack them one on top of the other and close the top
the same way - alternating the flaps but they will make
a little rounded dome shape if you don't snip them!

Voila! Cute little box!

Embellish as desired! I used a great new stamp
set called Eat Chocolate that will be available in the
upcoming occasions mini catalog, available January 5, 2011!

Here are a couple of cards I made using the
same set and some vanilla, kraft and espresso colors!

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Baltimore Regional Seminar

What a great time we all had in Baltimore, aside from my trip to the ER.
But that's another story! I can't say enough about the incredible inspiration
our trip was. The gifts, projects, swaps and ideas were all amazing!

Here is our Stamping Sisters group! Laura, Jana, Denise
Kimberly, Me (Jenny) and Heather, Kim and Lynne!

These are our fearless leaders!! They are awesome!!
Lynne, Heather and Kim keep are so encouraging and motivating.
I don't know how I would succeed without them.

Lynne and I were showing off our best
Tote-Ally Tess moves for this shot!

This is my roomie Jana Fetch! Jana and I had
quite a bit of excitement on Friday afternoon.
We were each awarded with a $50 shopping spree
as a reward for best card at Regionals!!
I will post our card creations soon, so check back!

Bonnie from the SU home office is just delightful!!

And here I am again with Shannon West. I just LOVE Her!!
It was so cool to meet and talk with her.

Jana and I weren't the only winners. Our Denise won a stamp
set on the first prize patrol of the day! Woo Hoo!!

Here is a picture of the pins I made for my Stampin' Sisters!
They were a real hit and I hope to sit down and make more soon.

And this just says it all! What an awesome time we all had!!
Can't wait for the next Stampin' Up! Event!

Whoo's Going to Stampin' Up! Regionals?!

I am! I am! Yes, a group of us are headed to Baltimore, MD this
weekend for what's sure to be an inspiring trip! I'm soooo excited!

When attending these seminars we always take swaps.
You can swap 3-D items and/or cards. I've been hard at
work on all of my swaps this past week. Here are my
3-D swaps! The first is a little magnetic bookmark
using my favorite new punch! Well, my two favorite
punches, I guess. If you don't already have the
XL Decorative Label Puch - you may want to add
it to your wish list! It's awesome!!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: None
SU Cardstock: Old Olive Text., Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
SU DSP: Autumn Spice (another must have)
Other: XL Deco. Label Punch, XL Owl Punch, Big Shot Magnet Sheets.

* * * * *

You can make as many or as few swaps as you want.
It just depends on how many you want back! I want a lot!
So, I made two 3-D swaps. This is my second. It's a little
note pad covered with Real Read Textured cardstock and
embellished with some ribbon. I used the new Tags 'til Christmas
stamp set, which is another great item for your wish list!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Tags 'til Christmas (Holiday Mini)
SU Cardstock: Real Red Text., Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Inks/Markers: Early Espresso
Other: V. Vanilla Taff. Ribbon, 1/8" Early Espresso Ribbon, 1 3/8 square punch, 1 1/4 square punch.

I will try to get some pictures of my card swaps posted before I leave!
If you have any questions - just give me call or shoot me an email!

So Green, Go Green!

My Chloe will be eight this September! We decided to have
her Birthday Party early this year... before school started.
So, this past Saturday we had Go Green Birthday!

I used the new So Green stamp set for her
invitations and for party inspiration too!

(Click Photos To Enlarge)

I also used a couple of retired sets.. the smaller trees are from
one of the 2010 SAB sets and I also used the retired Introducing set.

All of the Invites....

.. and matching envelopes too!

Here is the back of the invite!

* * * * * *

Birthday Girl!

The cupcakes were little trees and mushrooms!
Can you guess which set I'm using for the Thank You's??
(Post A Comment if you think you know)

For our party craft each guest made two stamped pins.
These are some of the samples I had - the kids came up with some
great color combos. I love to see how each creation is different!

I also made each of them a little recycle pin to wear!

We used new bottle caps. I ran them through the Big Shot to
flatten them. Above is a pic of the front of the new cap.
Below is a pic of the back of the new cap.

Here is the back and front after they have gone through the Big Shot
and a pin has been glued to the back using Crystal Effects.

Here are all of our stamping party guests!

I hope our party inspires you to get creative and Go Green!
If you have any questions on these projects - leave a comment
and I'll be happy to elaborate! Thanks for stopping by!
