Stamp Camp Recap!

Last weekend was my Stamp Camp & Crop and I wanted to
share the stamp project with you, in case you missed the event!
This Super Cute Card Set was designed by my Awesome
Upline - Lynne Aikins!! (Insert I'm not worthy bow here) :D
Lynne and I have joined together to plan this event and more.
It was so much fun and can't wait til the next one!

Stampers created 3 each of 4 different designs using the RMHC Turtle & Co.
stamp set. To find out more about SU! and RMHC, Click HERE!

All 12 cards and envelopes are stored in these cool tins that were
decorated using coordinating In Color DSP, Poly Stitched Ribbon
and the Triple Layer Doily Punch with a Glimmer Brad.

Lynne designed each card using the above layout. I was being
slightly lazy and did not cut all of the cardstock for the sentiment
layers and just stamped the insides. ( And left a couple blank )
But, I guess that's one of the things I love about workshops -
everyone's creations always turn out a little bit different, right!?

I think the Frogs are my favorite, aren't they cute!?

(Click Any Images To Enlarge)

Hmmm, maybe the Turtle is my favorite... I can't decide.
We stamped this guy and cut his head off and turned him
upside down - as shown in the new catalog. I just love it!!

Works perfectly with the sentiment!

Thanks so much to Lynne for putting this project together!
We have tons of fun creating, visiting and laughing. Thanks
to all who attended and for all the yummy food and recipes
that were shared as well. Can't wait until next time!
Check back soon for details on upcoming events. If you'd like

More Mini.....

I was going to say More Sneak Peeks, but since most of you should have
already received your Holiday Mini in the mail, these aren't really "sneak peeks"
any more. If you have received your new catty, then say it with me ... "OMG!"
I just love this catalog. I know, I know - I say that with the release of every
catalog. I just can't help it! SU! seems to out do themselves every time!

I have two new Halloween projects to share today then later
I hope to post the Turtle and Co. project we completed at last
week's Stamp Camp & Crop! But Halloween goodies first!

I made a large sour cream treat and finished it off with the
super cute owl from the new Out on a Limb stamp set.

Also broke in the new Simply Scored, scoring board from SU!
It's so simple and easy to use and you'll love using it to create all
your projects, from card and boxes to the accordian circle
doo-dads shown here - it makes them all easier!

I have made lots of these containers in the past, but much smaller.
HERE is an old post with a tutorial. You can follow the same
steps, but make them any size you'd like. The one shown above
was cut at 6X8 inches using Peach Parfait DSP.
You can see that it is almost as tall as a Stampin' Write Marker
It holds 4 snack size candy bars with room to spare!

Supplies Used

Stamp Set: Out on a Limb, coming soon - Holiday Mini Sept. 1
SU DSP: Peach Parfait Dot Pattern and First Edition Spec. DSP
Card Stock: Pear Pizazz, V. Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder and Crumb Cake

This is a shadow box decoration that I came up with using one
of the new single stamps in the mini called Haunted Forest.

Card Stock: Wisteria Wonder and Crumb Cake

Fabulous Fall

Tomorrow is my Stamp Camp & Crop... If you registered
for the scrapbooking option here is the double page
make and take that you will create. If you didn't sign up
then you may want to avert your eyes.... . you could
be disappointed that you're gonna miss this one!

I was so happy with how this layout turned out. I have
special school albums for both my kiddos and I typically
start off each year with the first day of school pictures and
there are always lots of back to school activities to include
as well. I think this page will be easy to add my photos to.
I only used a couple here for a visual, but would add more
to my finished pages. I can post supplies if anyone is interested.
I can tell you that all supplies and tools are current SU! items!

Here are some close-ups of the tree and the page title.

Howl-O-Ween Sneak Peek!

I LOVE Halloween and I LOVE Fall- It's my favorite
time of year! I'm always super excited for the spooky
stamp sets that SU! has to offer and this year was no
exception. I used the Howl-o-ween Creeps set
available in the upcoming Holiday Mini!

This super cute Two Tags Treat Holder was one of
Angie Kennedy Juda's 12 days of Halloween projects.
Isn't it cool? Plus it's so quick and simple!

Yummy Milky Way candy bars tuck inside nicely!
I held mine in with a little bit of snail so they'd stay put!

Brand New Boxes and a Sneek Peek!!

So, I've said it before... this new 2011-2012 IB&C has
tons of great new products!! This little box is one of them.
This is the New Blossom Box for the Big Shot. (pg. 221)
I attended a meeting last week and got to put together
this great box that Kim Peles brought as a project share.
Isn't it adorable!?

I love the colors she chose: Pool Party,
Calypso Coral and So Saffron.

Stamp Sets used are Petite Pairs (pg. 164)

And Button Buddies (pg. 71)

And it wouldn't be complete without Chocolate!
Yes, that's a peppermint pattie in there - Yum!!

* * * * * * * * * * *

Ok, now for the sneek peek! This is not a new box, but a totally
new way to put together the Milk Carton Die!! Isn't this cool?!
I did not attend convention this year (Waaaaaaa!)
and this style box was a project shown by Brian Pilling.
I found a few different demos who posted these types
of boxes and couldn't wait to make one for myself!!
I used a stamp from the new It's a Wrap Holidays
stamp set that will be featured in the upcoming Holiday
mini catalog which goes live on September 1, 2011!!

Questions?? Let me know! Thanks for stopping by

Strawberries and Mustaches!

Won't find those two words together often... will you?
Today's post is about some of the great new catalog items.
When I saw the picture of the strawberries on page 99 of
our new catalog I couldn't wait to try and make them!
They use the Flower Folds XL Bigz Die and I found a
great tutorial HERE on how to make these little cuties!

I made lots of them and filled them with some new
Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon as a little gift for my
club girls! Just another great reason to join one of
my clubs - free stuff! Who doesn't love that?

(Click Photos To Enlarge)

As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me!!

* * * * * * * *

And now for the mustaches!!
Stampin' Up! has so many cute ala carte stamps
and when I saw the Many Mustaches I had two
thoughts run through my head!

1) My son will love these! (He's got a thing for mustaches)
2) The evil villian- mustache ditty we used to recite at camp!

An old picture of my Jack on his 4th B-Day, but a favorite!
We had tons of mustache fun that day. His favorite question to
ask was "Have you seen a young boy any where around here?" LOL!

So, this card is based upon a thing we did every year at camp
when I was a kid! At lunch someone might yell out "NAPKIN CALL"
then we would all scrunch up our napkins to look like a
Bow Tie shape and do the following:

Hold the Bow on your head and say (in a high pitched girl voice)
"I can't pay the rent!"
Hold the Napkin like a mustache and say (in your Villian voice)
"YOU MUST PAY THE RENT!"
repeat girl
"I can't pay the rent!"
repeat Villian
"YOU MUST PAY THE RENT!"
Then, while holding your napkin as a bow tie say (in your Super Hero voice)
"I'LL PAY THE RENT!'
Girl:
"Oooo My Hero!"
Villian:
"Curses! Foiled Again!"

So, I had a personalized stamp made with the phrase
Curses! Foiled Again! made. You can find all different
options on page 172 to choose from. And I accompanied
that with a sentiment from the Smarty Pants Stamp Set
to finish it all off! I was tickled with the results and hope
you like it too! If anyone else remembers the crazy
napkin call, I'd love to hear from you. (Most people I tell
this story to just don't understand what I'm talking about!)

I hope I gave you some good ideas today and you enjoyed
the projects. Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!
